“admissible”一词，是指符合某些规定、条件等，因此可以接受、接纳、采信、认可。在法律文件中，“admissible”一词对于不同的内容、程序等而言，可以翻译成不同的译文。具体如下：
1、可接受（符合接受条件）
Donations need to be at least six months old at the time of the initial file submission in order to be admissible.
捐赠在首次提交申请文件之前至少六个月前作出的，方可接受。
Offer or acceptance of gifts with a total value less than USD 15 is admissible among the staff in their interactions with clients.
员工与客户往来，允许相互赠予或接受总价值不超过15美元的礼品。
2、可采信（符合证据采信条件）
No answer given by a person in pursuance of a requirement imposed under subsection (2)(j) above shall be admissible in evidence against that person or the husband or wife of that person in any proceedings.
任何人按照上文第(2)款第(j)项规定提交的答辩状，在任何法律程序中不得作为对本人或其配偶不利的证据予以采信。
shall be admissible as evidence in any legal proceedings, to the fullest extent permissible by law.
在法律允许的最大范围，应当在任何法律程序中作为证据予以采信。
The mediation transcript is therefore presumed genuine, authenticated, and admissible.
因此，认定调解笔录是经过认证的真实记录，可以作为证据予以采信。
3、允许入境（符合入境条件）
Admissible to the U.S.: Foreign persons applying for a U.S. Green Card must demonstrate that they are admissible to the U.S.
允许进入美国：申请美国绿卡的外国人必须证明自己符合美国的入境条件。
A refugee has to be admissible as an immigrant pursuant to section 207 of the Act.
难民必须依照《移民法》第207条的规定以难民身份申请获准入境。
4、符合规定的条件
The provisions of this rule shall apply whether the set-off is admissible under rule 6 of Order VIII or otherwise.
无论抵销请求是否符合第8号令第6条规定的条件或者其他条件，本条的规定均适用。
5、案件、请求、申请等符合受理条件，可以（应当）受理
A petition for damages shall be admissible if:
请求损害赔偿的起诉状符合下列条件的，应当受理：
A request for arbitration shall not be admissible in the absence of an arbitration agreement between the disputing parties.
争议双方当事人未达成仲裁协议的，仲裁申请不予受理。
